Signing up for T-Mobile account is simple, with only a username and password needed, along with the T-Mobile account number. Once a T-Mobile ID account is active, the username is instantly associated with the particular account, and customers can start accessing their information online right away.

If the account is eligible for an upgrade, any T-Mobile device upgrades can be handled through the ID account. If a T-Mobile account is not currently up for upgrade, the ID account will give the date that it will be. T-Mobile ID allows customers to exchange a recent upgrade, as long as it’s within a 30 day period. T-Mobile exchanges after 30 days will be charged a processing fee.
