eBay Buy It Now Class Action
- Obtain more information in regards to the class action lawsuit entitled Luis Rosado v. eBay Inc. which is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California
The eBay Buy It Now class action lawsuit revolves around claims that “eBay automatically de-listed the item as soon as a prospective buyer clicked the “Buy It Now” button, and that eBay did not automatically re-list the item if the prospective buyer failed to complete the buying process” and includes any consumers who paid for a “Buy It Now” listing on eBay from July 30, 2008 until Sept. 10, 2015. Class members claim that this “Buy It Now” strategy implemented by eBay deprived sellers of the full value of their listing.
Please note…
- A $1,200,000 settlement fund has been established
- Class members contend the following laws have been violated by eBay: California’s False Advertising Law, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and the Unfair Competition Law
- eBay denies any actions of wrong doing but have agreed to a settlement as of Sept. 10, 2015
- Class members who wish to be excluded (or opt out) from the eBay Buy It Now Class Action lawsuit can do so before Dec. 8, 2015
- Settlement payments will either be in the amount of $5, $10 or $15 per claimant
- Any funds remaining in the settlement fund after the claims process is complete may be distributed to Class Members who have an active eBay account at the time of the final disbursement
- A settlement fairness hearing will take place on or around 2/25/2016
- ALL CLAIM FORMS ARE DUE BY 12/8/2015
- All payments associated with the LUIS ROSADO V. EBAY INC. case settlement will be made via check
