Amazon Redeem Gift
- Redeem a gift card associated with an Amazon customer account online
Once the gift card has been redeemed to the account, the funds will be credited to the customers Amazon account and will be automatically applied to a future purchase. The original expiration date, if any, applies to any unused funds and the same return policies apply on the purchase as a purchase made without the credited gift card. When redeeming a gift card the customer will need to enter the claim code (for plastic cards the customer will need to scratch off the coating on the back of the card to reveal the claim code).
Please note…
- The claim code associated with the Amazon Redeem Gift Card is not the 16 digit card number
- The gift card can only be used to make purchases at Amazon
- The gift card is not a credit card and will not help or hurt a customers credit score
- Once the customers has accessed their Amazon account they will need to look for the Apply a Gift Card to Your Account tab
- Amazon customers will not be allowed to redeem the gift card using the Amazon.com 1-Click service unless they redeem the gift card funds to their account before hand
- If the amount of purchase is greater than the amount associated with the gift card the customer’s credit card on file will be charged the remaining amount
