Many believe the Apple Watch is the beginning of the end for Apple Inc.

The one indisputable fact that can be said about the Apple watch is this: it is a watch. Well, it is mostly a watch. It does have a watch function. There’s a little face of a standard clock icon in the middle of one of the screens. All around that are little icons for everything else you can imagine: email, music, text, telephone, calendar, camera, etc..

The emphasis should be on “little”,however. Those of us with fat fingers will spend more time closing apps we didn’t mean to open than we will actually using those we did. Some of the icons are not recognizable, so we’re talking a learning curve to familiarize ourselves with all those little things we need to be flicking.

You don’t have to flick the icons, of course. You can click the large button on the side if you prefer. Or double-click it to get back to a previous screen. Which is a whole lot of clicking and flicking just to find out what time it is.

And guess what? Every single person in the United States (unless they live under a rock) already have these functions on a much easier to use wide-screen in the form of a smart phone!
