Poly Foam Class Action

  • Provides information about the class action lawsuit entitled In re Polyurethane Foam Antitrust Litigation which is pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in Toledo

Class members of the lawsuit contend that makers of flexible polyurethane foam came together and rigged the market by raising prices which lead to higher prices being paid by consumers for this “foam” which is commonly used in a couch, mattress or carpet padding.  The defendants in the case (Carpenter Co. Domfoam International Inc., FFP Holdings LLC (f/k/a Flexible Foam Products LLC and f/k/a Flexible Foam Products Inc.), FXI Holdings Inc., Foamex International Inc., Future Foam Inc., Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, Mohawk Industries Inc., Leggett & Platt Inc., Scottdel Inc., Valle Foam Industries Inc., Vitafoam Products Canada Limited, Vitafoam Inc., Woodbridge Foam Corporation, Woodbridge Sales & Engineering Inc., and Woodbridge Foam Fabricating Inc.) deny all action of wrong doing but have agreed to settle to avoid a long trial by jury.  At this time the settlement is thought to be just North of $150,000,000 and includes anyone who purchased a Poly Form product from one of the previous mentioned companies between Jan. 1, 1999 and Aug. 1, 2015.

  • Any objections to the settlement amount should be brought to the attention of the Northern District of Ohio Toledo court by November 13, 2015
  • A settlement fairness hearing will take place in at the Toledo court on December 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m

My Drive Time Account

  • Conduct a variety of My Drive Time account related activities online to include ‘Contact Information Change’

Drive Time allows customers to make payments on an existing auto loan online.  New customers to Drive Time will have to register and any questions about the process should be directed to a DriveTime Customer Service representative at: (800) 967-8526.  In the event that customers have to change their name they will be required to fax legal documents to show that their name has been officially changed by the US Government.

More talking points associated with the My Drive Time Account Service…

  • Customers who elect to pay via the auto pay options will avoid any and all fees
  • Payments via mail can be sent to DriveTime at PO Box 53087, Phoenix, AZ 85072 (check or money order only)
  • Other options for payment without a fee besides the auto pay option include the bank ‘Bill Pay’ option or text pay via WesternUnion
  • Please allow 48 hours to process to a DriveTime customers account
  • As payments are made part of each payment goes to pay interest and part goes to pay the loan balance (in the beginning most of the payment will go towards the interest)
  • When an account holder is late making a payment they will see a higher amount of interest paid first and then whatever is left will reduce the loan balance (just make on time payments and customers will not have to worry about this)
