The “Extended Family” card from GM is only open to employees or suppliers of General Motors, and lets users earn rewards that they can combine with employee discounts for an incredible deal on a GM vehicle, including the purchase or lease of any Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. In addition to GM Extended Family rewards and the GM employee discount, shoppers can also take advantage of the most recently available incentives on a vehicle purchase.

- Every credit card purchase earns 1% GM vehicle reward, paid out in $50 increments, that can be used as a down payment, to lower a monthly payment, or to add on optional equipment to a new vehicle
- Rewards stay active on a GM Extended Family card for up to 7 years, giving users plenty of time to earn rewards for a major discount
Every GM dealer nationwide participates in the extended family reward program, and there’s no limit to the amount of rewards you can earn. Rewards earned on the GM Extended Family card are good for up to seven years, so there’s plenty of time to earn enough for a great discount.
Once a customer has chosen the vehicle they want, they just need to obtain an authorization number from GM for that specific vehicle, then log on to gmfamilyfirst.com (for employees and retirees) or gmsupplierdiscount.com (for suppliers).
