Ford Spark Plug Settlement

The Ford Spark Plug Settlement lawsuit revolves around a defect in the spark plug used in certain Ford and Lincoln automobiles that resulted in making it more difficult and expensive to remove the spark plugs from the autos in question (or so the class members claim). The Ford Motor company denies any actions of wrong doing but will throw money at the problem to make it go away and return to normal business activities. The Ford, Lincoln Spark Plug Class Action Lawsuit was approved by a Federal Judge on June 18, 2015 and a fairness hearing will take place on 1/25/2016 to determine if Ford Motors put forth enough settlement money.

- Class members can file a claim online or via US mail
- The deadline to file a claim in the Ford Motors Spark Plug lawsuit is either Aug. 25, 2016 or Feb. 27, 2017 depending on when the spark plugs were replaced (see more below)
- This is case number 1:12-md-2316
- The Ford Spark Plug Settlement fairness hearing will take place in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio

Class members who had the spark plugs replaced before they received the Class Notice in the mail, the deadline to file a claim is 8/25/16… if after then the deadline to file is 2/27/17. Class members who stay a part of the lawsuit will be automatically represented by James C. Shah and Jeffrey S. Goldenberg. The Ford Motor Company has hired Krista L. Lenart to represent them in court.
