Samsung recently announced it’s upcoming spring release of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Android users worldwide are eagerly anticipating the release of this sleek, aluminum device that is equipped with Samsung’s newly developed payment system, “Samsung Pay.”
The most intriguing component of the Galaxy S6 Edge, however, is it’s dynamically curved edges. This exclusive characteristic is the main feature that has consumers fascinated, but it is also predicted that it may be the primary reason for a shortage in availability.
Samsung utilizes a type of pressing and heating technology referred to as, “3D Thermoforming”. Although the process creates a captivating design, it is highly expensive and very time-consuming. With such an extensive and high-cost method used for producing the Galaxy S6 Edge’s stylish screen, it may not be productive or possible to meet the high levels of demand.
Hopefully Samsung will be able to overcome the foreseen manufacturing hurdle in order to deliver consumers the product that they are frantically awaiting. The device is due to be released April 10th of 2015, and if Samsung is able to produce an ample amount of stock, then the Galaxy S6 Edge is sure to be a revolutionary hit amongst Android users across the globe.
